| Popis | Act no. 20/1987 Sb. on state monument care, primarily allows archaeological research to be carried out only by the Institute of Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, but other legal entities, including the National Monument Institute, are also active in this area. In recent years, in order to protect the archaeological heritage, the Academy of Sciences has tried twice to prevent an authorized organization from conducting research, but both attempts have not been successful. The aim of the paper is to explain the basic principle of granting and withdrawing permits for archaeological research, the role of the Ministry of Culture and the Academy of Sciences in these processes and to analyze unsuccessful attempts to withdraw the permit. |
