Zur Zikaden- und Wanzenfauna von Wasserbüffelweiden und angrenzenden Flächen im Altenburger Land (Thüringen) – Ergebnisse der Sammelexkursionen zur 26. Jahrestagung des Arbeitskreises Zikaden Mitteleuropas 2019 (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha, Heteroptera)

| Popis | We present collecting results of hoppers (Auchenorrhyncha) and true bugs (Heteroptera) on water buffalo pastures and surrounding habitats in the vicinity of Altenburg during the 26th annual meeting of the “Arbeitskreis Zikaden Mitteleuropas e. V.” on August 31st 2019. The water buffalo pastures of “Rasephaser Wiesen” and near “Unterzetzscha” produced 28 hopper species (both with 5 species endangered or potentially threatened according to the German red data book), respectively, and 13 and 6 bug species, respectively. The occurrence of Parapotes reticulatus on the pasture near Unterzetzscha, a species critically endangered in Germany, was confirmed and Cicadula placida was recorded in Thuringia for the first time. In the vicinity of the Haselbach ponds which included a traditional orchard, a water buffalo pasture, and an alder swamp forest altogether 44 hopper species and 20 true bug species were recorded. The wide ecological range of species found on the water buffalo pastures correspond to the highly diverse habitats and local flora and demonstrate the importance of low-intensity pastures as biodiversity hotspots. |
