Popis | The article presents the research-action project “Intercultural Education as a Dialogue between Ways of Knowing and Forms of Knowledge”. This project is interdisciplinary, since its team includes researchers from different academic areas, and transdisciplinary, and also because it aims at producing an effective and symmetrical dialogue with extra-academic knowledge. The project is carried out in and with the communities of Siribinha and Poças, Municipality of Conde, in the north of the state of Bahia, Brazil. In the text we describe the project’s conception, goals, activities carried out and its future challenges. The aim is to contribute to the current debates on the constitution of a plural science, capable of involving local communities in the production of knowledge and in symmetrical and engaged practices. |
