Training Teachers via Telehealth to Conduct FBA with students with Neurodevelopmental Disabilities

| Popis | Abstract: The main goal of this research is to train teachers to conduct the Open-Ended Functional Assessment Interview, the Adapted Functional Analysis and implement the proposed simple behavior treatment package (FCT) with a student with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Teachers will also learn to observe, describe, and analyze behavior in behavior-analytic terms, generalize the gained knowledge and skills across other students and situations, and report increased levels of effectiveness, acceptance, and satisfaction after the training. Students with neurodevelopmental disabilities will exhibit lower levels of problem behavior and higher levels of an alternative communication response after their teachers receive FCT training. The long-term goal of this study, including future research, is to troubleshoot the training of adapted functional assessment via telehealth. This research encompasses (a) an in-person pilot study and (b) a full study research telehealth method. Telehealth services will include: (1) An e-learning course, (2) Live online meetings (3) A treatment proposal. The whole telehealth project will last approx. 10 weeks. |
