Popis | A little community of Middle and Late Bronze Age lived in Přáslavice, Central Moravia. Defined settlement components represents residential, storage, industrial and refuse functions of a farm settlement and a burial site. The burial component belongs to the Late Bronze Age and falls in Urnfield period in the area. All the methodological parts, the description, statistical analysis and interpretation, had to take into account the different archaeological record in the settlement and burial context and combine them. The development led excavation was realised in the 1990’s but new scientific methods enabled the creation of new data sets that allow new discussions over the former conclusions. The first objective of this paper is to draw a comparison of the formalised ceramic datasets from the graves and settlement contexts. The case study is based on combination of statistical methods (chronology, depositional, and post-depositional history), traditional typology (chronology and cultural affiliation) and GIS methods (spatial relations). Second, a set of new radiocarbon dates obtained from cremated bones will be confronted with the earlier data from the charcoals and typological schema of the site. Third, the results of strontium isotope analyses from the cremated burials will be discussed in the context of anthropological and archaeological analysis and subsequent interpretation. |
