Periferie Česka: ohlédnutí za projektem aplikovaného výzkumu

| Popis | The peripheries, determined by their peripheral location in relation to the population centres, are generally characterised by population decline, inadequate infrastructure and low economic performance. Territories adjacent to the regional (internal) or state (external dimension) border of Czechia thus require special attention of the local government (regions) and the state administration. The project was based on the approach of individual regions to the issue, bearing in mind both the closed nature of regional processes and the competence of the respective levels of public administration. Through the analysis of the current socio-economic situation – usually at the local or municipal level – we have defined both types of the periphery. In the model territories, we conducted sociological surveys among the mayors/mayoresses of the municipalities. Nearly 400 opinions of „representatives of the people“ thus suitably supplemented or corrected the previous objective assessment. In close cooperation with the application guarantors, especially the Ministry of Regional Development, measures of a legislative nature and recommendations were formulated in order to strengthen the territorial cohesion of Czechia. |
