Popis | Animal ancient DNA (aDNA) from archaeological excavations is a very important source of information about the historical breeding, domestication and food source of the population of that time. Two Early Middle Ages animal bone samples were successfully isolated and determined by the mitochondrial gene CytB. The nuclear aDNA of the samples was amplified using three genes associated with economic and health traits. Amplification was successful in two genes. Sequencing confirmed pig origin. |
