| Popis | The collective monograph From Moravia to Moravia IV is the result of the ongoing cooperation between the Matica Srpska and the Matica Moravska, whose relations began to develop intensively after a certain interruption since 1999, when the Matica Moravska commemorated the 150th anniversary of its foundation and when Brno was also visited by the then chairman of the Matica Srpska, Prof. Dr. Božidar Kovaček. Among the most significant manifestations of cooperation between the two matrices is the publication of publications on the history of Czech-Serbian relations, aptly titled From Moravia to Moravia - i.e. from the Serbian Morava River to the eponymous river in Moravia and to Moravia in general. The first volume was published in 2005 by the Moravian Matica, the second in 2011 by the Serbian Matica. The third monograph was again published by the Moravian Matica and was published in the years in which the world commemorated the 100th anniversary of the Great War, and was therefore largely devoted to Czech-Serbian cooperation in the difficult war and immediate post-war years. The fourth volume, by far the most voluminous yet, is published by the Matica Srpska and as usual contains chapters on historical cooperation, this time especially in the 20th century, noting, of course, cooperation in the field of literature and music and not omitting Czech-Serbian linguistic topics. The joint efforts of the editors of both matrices have succeeded in creating a compact publication proving that the relations between our two nations have been unusually closely intertwined at least in the last two centuries. The Czech contributions are accompanied by an extensive Serbian resume, the Serbian contributions again by an extensive Czech resume. The publication was edited by a four-member Czech-Serbian team led by Václav Štěpánek. |
