Popis | „Cardiovascular rehabilitation is a complex process by which patients with cardiovascular diseases are encouraged and supported to achieve and maintain optimal physical, psychosocial, emotional health.“ The goals of cardiac rehabilitation are to improve muscle strength, to prevent atrophy of skeletal muscle and to reduce risk of ischemic heart disease. These goals should improve quality of life in patients with heart diseases! Cardiac rehabilitation programs significantly increase the survival of cardiac patients. According to the official Guidelines of the European Society of Cardiology and Czech Society of Cardiology is indicated cardiac rehabilitation program. The purpose of this cardiovascular training is to facilitate the return to optimal living and to encourage patients to make lifestyle changes in order to prevent further cardiovascular events. Psychological support is a part of the program and is also necessary to deal with psychological distress, which is common following AMI. |
