Popis | Folk songs have long been the starting point for the growth of children’s musical abilities in the Czech Republic. The Department of Music at the Faculty of Education in Brno has been systematically investigating the attitudes of music teachers towards folk songs regarding the changes in cultural and social development. Beginning locally, the study expands to the Netherlands, offering insights into Western European perspective. Surveys and interviews reveal nuanced approaches, reflecting historical and cultural influences. This paper provides valuable findings, emphasizing the need for culturally sensitive music education practices. |
