Citace
Popis The goal of this work was to show whether apoptosis would be activated in pigs in the course of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB), and whether the results obtained on a pig exemplar could be used for the investigation of protection of human myocardium. CPB was carried out by usual procedure on 10 minipigs. Apoptotic cells with extensive DNA fragmentation were found in the bone marrow after chest opening before CPB. This could reflect the reaction of bone marrow to the preoperative stress. After the operation a decrease in the number of nuclei with extensive DNA fragmentation was observed in the tested animals. On the other hand a marked prevalence of bone marrow cells with nuclei with extensive apoptotic fragmentation was found in the dead animals. It was shown that apoptotic DNA fragmentation of myocardial tissue was chiefly all peoved at the end of the operation. However, it was not detected in pulmonary tissues.
