| Popis | Long-term air leak can be the severe complication with hight morbidity and prolongation of the patients hospitalization. Fully synthetic hydrogel sealent is special sealant developed for prevention and treatment of the pulmonary air leak. Is completely hydrolizes over 6 to 8 weeks period and is cleared by the kidneys. It is very simple to use it, less than 2 minutes is the preparation time. There are described strong adherence and flexibility of this selent. We can used this PleuraSeal first in the Czech Republic on November 2007. The first and successful air leak therapy case was the very old patient with bullous emphysema and serious internal sicknesses. Next cases where patients with weighty air leak after decrotication. |
