Popis | Contemporal smokers are predominantly less educated and poor people. Epidemiological studies from different countries have confirmed the persistent classbased disparities and the growing number of smokers in the lower socioeconomic groups. Socioeconomic status (SES) is a complex determinant of health. The relationships between the level of SES and human health are measured through some indicators, including education, which shapes future occupational opportunities, learning potential, knowledge and life skills. In such a way allowes easier access to information and resources to promote health. There is an opportunity to use the three steps approach in primary prevention schoolwork: an upstream (for whole school community); a midstream (focuses on group at a higher risk) and a downstream (targetes the individual children) |
