Popis | A summary of all experience in diagnostics of paleopathologic findings and in search for optimum procedures at their interpretation is the main objective of the presented communication. Same procedures like the ones used in the medical practice commonly (1. history, 2. objective examination, 3. working diagnosis, 4. differential diagnosis, 5. final diagnosis) are to be applied to make the paleopathologic diagnosis, but they have to be modified in consideration of peculiarities of skeletal sets. Since both the possibilities of gaining anamnesis data and of applying medical examination methods commonly used are limited at the study of osteologic sets substantially, it is necessary collect all available literary and iconographic sources, too. On this account, the paleopathologic diagnostics requires an extensive knowledge from several branches of science, from the anthropology, medicine, and history above all. |
