Popis The article represents the degree of the basic knowledge of general nurses of nursing diagnostics NANDA -- International. Insights into the topic are related to education of respondents. Methods: Data was collected using a questionnaire survey. The respondent was 161 general nurses. Statistic significance was verified using the test of good correspondence at the significance level alfa = 0.05. Results: A statistically significant difference is detect between knowledge of the term NANDA -- International between nurses with university education and general nurses with lower than university level of education (test criterion is t = 7.81 is lower than critical value 46.99). A statistically significant difference is detect between experience in working with NANDA - International between nurses with university education and general nurses with lower than university level of education (t = 5.99 is lower than the critical value 87.25). No statistically significant difference is detect between knowledge of term "nursing diagnosis" between general nurses with university education and general nurses with lower than university level (t = 11.07 is lower than the critical value 54.41). The statistically significant difference is detect between knowledge of components of the current nursing diagnosis between general nurses with university education and general nurses with lower than university education (t = 9.49 is higher than the critical value 3.73). Conclusion: A statistically significant difference was detected in three tested hypothesis (knowledge NANDA -- International, experience in working with NANDA -- International, knowledge of components of the current nursing diagnosis). A statistically significant difference was not detected in one tested hypothesis (knowledge of term "nursing diagnosis")
