Dean of the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University announces a selection procedure for the position of

Assistant

at the Department of Commercial Law

covering for maternity and parental leave on a half-time work schedule.

The Faculty of Law at Masaryk University is one of the four public law faculties in the Czech Republic. The current Faculty of Law at Masaryk University can be characterized as a modern, dynamic faculty where pedagogical activities and scientific research are the main focus. The Department of Commercial Law is one of the traditional departments at the Faculty of Law, MU. In terms of teaching, it focuses on standard topics in commercial law: general part, competition law, business corporations, and parts of contract law, followed by a series of advanced elective courses.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in the teaching activities of the department,
  • Preparing study and teaching materials, as well as written tests and exams,
  • Engaging in research activities, including contributing to publication activities,
  • Participating in the organizational support of research and pedagogical activities, including related administration.

Requirements:

  • Completed Master's degree in law from a law faculty,
  • Interest in the field of commercial law, demonstrated by specific achievements (study progress, publications, presentations at seminars and conferences),
  • Pedagogical aptitude,
  • Capability for independent scientific research,
  • Ability to teach and publish in Czech and English, additional language skills are an advantage,
  • Publication activity in the field,
  • Moral integrity.
