Assistant professor for Department of Chemistry
Workplace: Department of chemistry, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic
Type of Contract: temporary position with 1-year contract (with possible extension), academic
Working Hours: 0,5 – 1,0 FTE (full-time/part-time employment of minimum 20 hours per week)

Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science MU is one of the largest departments of the Faculty of Science. Our research covers all main fields of chemistry – analytical, inorganic, physical, and organic chemistry – as well as materials and biophysical chemistry and restoration and conservation chemistry. Degree programs cover all levels, from bachelor's to doctoral level. We also participate in the teaching of a number of other study programs.

- Teaching and supervising students, research in the field of inorganic chemistry
Skills and Qualifications
The applicant must have:
- Ph.D. degree in the field of inorganic chemistry or related fields
- Previous international experience – Ph.D. study or long-term postdoctoral fellowship (minimum 2 years) at internationally recognized institutions
- Proven record of scientific work, publication outputs, and scientific presentations
- Capability of establishing and leading a research group in the field of inorganic chemistry
- Successful grant history
- Experience in teaching and supervising students in the field of inorganic chemistry or relevant fields
- Good knowledge of the Czech and English languages (spoken and written)
