About the position:
The researcher will participate in research activities of the project “A lifetime with language: the nature and ontogeny of linguistic communication”, reg. no. CZ.02.01.01/00/23_025/0008726i in Programme Johannes Amos Comenius (Czech Republic - The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, co-funded by the European Union), which is focused on the language of the individual, which is an irreplaceable means of communication with the environment for every person. It explores how language is acquired in childhood, how it functions in adulthood, and what challenges individuals face as they age. The aim of the project is to conduct interdisciplinary research based on a combination of linguistics, psychology, and neuroscience, which, by producing cutting-edge results, will enable an adequate and effective response to the global language-related challenges of contemporary society.
The candidate is expected to independently implement specialized research and development work. He/she is working as part of a research team/group. The candidate is optimizing procedures and solutions research, active publishing (peer-reviewed journals), and presentation of research results. The candidate should seek, write, and submit grant or contract opportunities.
You have (necessary competencies):
The successful candidate should:
- be a graduate with at least an MSc degree or its equivalent in psychology/medicine/biomedical engineering
- a researcher who has not completed more than 7 years since the award of his/her Ph.D. degree (from the date of the dissertation defense)
- at least 1 professional publication registered in the Thomson Reuters Web of Science or Scopus database in the last 3 years, as well as publications of the type "article", "book", "boochapter", "letter" and "review". The applicant must be the lead author/co-author for at least one of the publications.
- it is an advantage to work outside the Czech Republic in research for at least 20 hours per week or to study for a Ph.D. abroad.
- have a professional focus on the researched issue – data processing in neuroscience research.
- be capable of independent scientific research activity,
- be able to collaborate in solving complex scientific, research, and development tasks in a research team,
- have the ability to apply the basic principles of project management,
- to clearly formulate research results and present them
