-
20 March 2019
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM - P201, Faculty of Economics and Administration, Lipová 41a
We cordially invite you to lecture Ontology of Civilization by John R. Searle.
John R. Searle:
Having first built his reputation in the philosophy of language ("Speech Acts", 1969) and the philosophy of mind (intentionality of mind, the Chinese room argument), during the last three decades John Searle turned his attention to social ontology ("The Construction of Social Reality", 1995; "Making the Social World: The Structure of Human Civilization", 2010). Elaborating on the conception of "collective intentionality", John Searle strives to uncover "the logical (conceptual, propositional) structure of society".
