Swedish Christmas concert

This year, the Brno SIST Choir continues the renewed traditions of popular Christmas concerts. This year's will be held on Tuesday, December 10, in a Protestant church (just like in Sweden), and as usual in the Red Church on Comenius Square.

Get ready for the mysterious atmosphere of a long winter night, enhanced by candlelight and beautiful (perhaps not only) Nordic music. The whole concert will be in the spirit of celebrating the feast of St. Lucia. The choir will perform songs celebrating Lucia, as well as Swedish Christmas songs.

This year again you will also be able to look forward to the magical sound of the nyckelharpa, a traditional Swedish musical instrument, played by Greybeard (Šedovous), a guest of the SIST Swedish Choir.

In addition to listening to music, you can also try genuine Swedish Christmas pastries, which will be available for tasting and sale at the entrance. A songbook of popular Swedish Christmas songs from the SIST repertoire will also be available. Proceeds will go towards renting the space and supporting the choir.
