Unveiling of the memorial plaque of Vladimír Groh

Vladimír Groh worked as a professor of ancient history at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University, was also active in the Brno Sokol community, and was actively involved in the anti-fascist resistance within the Defence of the Nation organization. For this, he was also executed on 30 September 1941 in Kounic's dormitories. Symbolically, on the anniversary day of his martyrdom, a bronze memorial plaque will be installed on the faculty's facade at the corner of Arna Nováka and Grohova streets. All of you are cordially invited to this commemoration!

The event is part of the celebration of the centenary of the beginning of teaching at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University.
