Michaela Rapava: Waiting, Isolation & Vigil (Exhibition)

Within The installation entitled WAITING, ISOLATION, VIGIL three objects composed of copper pipes are presented. Individually, they refer to three inner experiences – waiting, isolation and vigil. Moreover, the artist reflects on the expressive power of the chosen material. The objects, whose material base carries certain connotations associated with utility or profanity, have acquired a new semantic level through the artist's intervention. In its form, the installation seeks and offers alternative meanings and resemblances of materialized motifs of the mental states, finding inspiration in the movements that the artist anatomically analyses and differentiates.
