MU modifies white light setting, respirators won’t be compulsory
MU is modifying the rules in the white traffic-light system based on new government measures. The new rules will be effective as of Monday, 14 March.
Overview: Current operation of libraries at MUNI
Individual libraries of Masaryk University are currently switching to at least partial operation modes. At the same time, for the entering of all MU buildings, it is required completion the Declaration of honour of absence of symptoms of viral infectious diseases in Information System. University campus library
The central library of the Bohunice campus is open every weekday from 9 a.m. to 3 p. m. Books to be borrowed must first be ordered through the catalogue, and the library staff will hand them over on the spot at the entrance, as opposed to signing a loan receipt. Library of the Faculty of Economics and Administration
From Monday 27 April, the Centre of Scientific Information, the library at the Faculty of Economics and Administration, will be opened weekday from 9 am to 12 pm for the necessary loan or return of books. Students will borrow and return books independently on self-service facilities, they must move around the library at two-meter intervals. Read more details here.
Library of the Faculty of Social Studies
FSS students can pick up the ordered books and return the unnecessary ones on Mondays and Thursdays from 1 pm to 3 pm. For loans, it is necessary to send a list of books you need together with the name and number of the UCO to the email knihovna@fss.muni.cz. Librarians will answer when books can be picked up. All book transfers will take place in the faculty lobby, where entry will be allowed only individually. Further details of the library are described here.
Central Library of the Faculty of Arts
The Central Library of the Faculty of Arts will give ordered books every weekday from 10 am to 1 pm. The temporary point is located in the reading room (entrance from Arna Nováka Street). Librarians will lend absentee books available in the main library building, but only if those books are not scanned in the e-prezenčka. ISIC is required for picking-up your book. Central Library of the Faculty of Education
Near the entrance of the building of the Faculty of Education in Poříčí 31 there is a window through which the librarians of the central library give you ordered books. Students can pick them up on weekdays between 9 am and 11 am. Book ordering is through online catalogue, go to the place only after confirmation by e-mail and take your ISIC with you. Central Library of the Faculty of Science
The library of the Faculty of Science in Kotlářská is newly opened every weekday from 9 am to 12 pm. Books for borrowing must be ordered in advance through the online catalogue. When you come for your books, please wait in the atrium near the gate for the instructions of the librarian. It is necessary to go to the desk one by one. The study rooms remain closed. Library of the Faculty of Informatics
The library in the building of the Faculty of Informatics is still closed right now. However, students can write to the email knihovna@fi.muni.cz and individually agree on the possibilities of borrowing.
