People returning from Italy must quarantine
15.25: The Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic issued a special measure concerning citizens returning from Italy. Due to the significant spread of COVID-19 disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in the territory of this country, all persons residing in the Czech Republic who return from their stay in Italy are obliged to report this fact to their GP by telephone or otherwise excluding personal contact. General practitioners will order these people a fourteen-day quarantine, the violation of which could result in a fine of up to CZK 3 million. Persons in quarantine are entitled to sickness benefits.
