The government has banned the presence of students at universities due to the spread of coronavirus
Starting Monday, 12 October, the presence of students at all Czech universities will be prohibited, with the exception of clinical and practical teaching and internships of students in the study programmes of general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and other medical study programs. These restrictions were announced as part of the new governmental measures announced 8 October.
At an emergency meeting on Thursday, 8 October, 2020, the government approved another package of emergency measures in response to unfavourable development of the epidemic situation in the Czech Republic and the growing number of people infected with covid-19 diseases. One of the governmental measures also applies to universities, where the presence of students will be banned from Monday, 12 October, with the exception of clinical and practical teaching and internships of students in the study programmes of general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and other medical study programmes. The impact of this measure on Masaryk University will be discussed by the Crisis Board today and we will inform you about further details.
