Traffic-light system to turn yellow
On Monday, 7 December, the university traffic-light system will move to yellow. MU buildings will no longer be completely closed.
Beginning 7 December, the university traffic-light system will turn yellow. Lectures and other classes will continue to be held online. In-person events and exams will only be permitted for a maximum of 10 people indoors or 50 people outdoors. Laboratory, practical, and experimental classes will be taught in keeping with the government resolution currently in force (in Czech only). This allows in-person classes to be held for students in their first year of study, with the final decision being in the hands of faculty leadership. The MU Crisis Board, however, recommends that such courses remain online until at least Christmas. All students can meet with their teachers in person, and PhD-level classes can be held.
Mandatory physical education classes will still be held online. Indoor sports facilities may open for a maximum of 10 amateur athletes, each of whom must have 15 m2 of space. Outside, at most two teams or groups may play or exercise at once. Professional athletes may train indoors or outdoors, and only one team or group of athletes may train at once. Exercise rooms run by Accommodation and Catering Services will be closed.
The MU Crisis Board has recommended libraries continue to loan books remotely. The dean of each faculty may decide to open libraries, but the rules laid down in the government resolution must be followed.
Computer labs will stay closed. For study rooms and teamwork rooms the limit is again 10 people.
University Cinema Scala will remain closed. Its shop, Scalanterie, will open at limited capacity.
Canteens will be open. Government measures must be strictly adhered to. Diners must socially distance, and four people at most may sit at one table.
University employees should continue to work from home. Events deemed essential may be held; if held inside, the limit is 10 people, and if outside, 50 people.
Other restrictions will still be in place at MU. Social distancing, wearing facemasks, regularly ventilating rooms, and using disinfectant will continue to be required. The general public will still not be permitted to enter MU buildings.
