Statewide access to basic information source for chemical disciplines - Chemical Abstracts

The main aim of the project is to achieve state-wide access to the basic information source for all branches of chemistry, the Chemical Abstracts, for chemical faculties and departments of Czech universities. This key chemical database is in present time practically inaccessible for most of universities in regions due to very high subscription and license fees, particularly for modern web based forms of access. The proposed solution is based upon state-wide access supported from program funds in its basic form, so called SciFinder Scholar, as one simultaneous user per university for all participating academic institutions. Any higher form of access as e.g. more simultaneous user, will be financed from own sources of every university. Other aim of the project is to prepare optimal access model for Czech universities after ending the LI program with respect to new developments of searching technologies.
