Congenital absence of hte hand or hand amputation can be solved by Kruckenberg´s procedure performed on the forearm, toe-to-hand transfers, hand transplantation or by a myoelectric prosthesis. Up to the present there is no comparison of current methods o A method of comparing retrospective and prospective studies of patients with functional substitute will bring the determination of indication criteria for individual types of substitutes.
