The presented project aims to answer the following question: How is an integrative psychotherapeutic perspective acquired by psychotherapy trainees during the Training in Psychotherapy Integration? Integration in psychotherapy is currently one of the core topics in psychotherapy research but the field of
psychotherapy training has received to this day little attention among researchers. Adopting an integrative psychotherapeutic perspective faces specific challenges and more extensive research is needed to understand the whole process. Using grounded theory approach (combined with Qmethodology
and case study methodology), this project will explore patterns, phases, critical points, questions and dilemmas that will emerge during the process of trainees’ integrative perspective development. The research questions are focused on (a) the area of knowledge and cognitive processes, (b) the area of experience, emotion and identity, and (c) the area of practical skills and their application. The five-year length of the project corresponds to the length of the training program.
