Trust can bee seen as the cornerstone of cooperation both in individual interpersonal interrelation and in whole society. However, self-trust as an important condition of personal adaptation and well-being should be taken into account too. Trust includes both cognitive and emotional aspect. From the cognitive point of view, trust makes an interpersonal action under uncertainty possible and effective. Our research interest, following the previous considerations, is aimed at two topics. The first should provide theoretical basis for the second. We aim to theorize the trust within process of action. The consecutive aim of our research is to find the role of trust within contemporary Czech society with respect to European integration. We hope that results of our research can contribute to theoretical explanation of the role of trust in process of action in interpersonal situations, as well as provide us vith more understanding of role of trust in Czech democratic society.
