The aim of the project is the construction of a new, modern telemetric network of seismological stations linked with a data processing centre. The computer technology and software used will enable continuous on line processing of seismological data and their presentation on a seismological internet display of the State Office for Nuclear Safety in Prague. The new telemetric seismological network must meet the requirements of the International Atomic Energy Agency for optimum surrounding of the NPP Temelín. The network layout is supposed to ensure accurate and sensitive location of tectonic microearthquakes especially in the Protivín – Albrechtice nad Vltavou region limited by the Vodňany mylonite zone and the by the Blanice fault. The new seismological network will provide information necessary for the knowledge of recent microseismicity of the region and for the construction a sesimotectonic model of the vicinity of Temelín Nuclear Power Plant.
