We propose to establish a new top level working group which will connect several astrophysical disciplines such as classical stellar, galactic, and physics of star clusters together with database engineering and application programming. For this purpose, we will analyze a 1.5x1.5 degree area of our neighbor galaxies, the Magellanic Clouds, using several different photometric systems and scientific archival data. Since the global environment of the Magellanic Clouds is significantly different to our Milky Way, they are most important for studying all astrophysical mechanisms (convection, diffusion, accretion, rotation, and pulsation). The final catalog will include astrophysical parameters (effective temperature, age, absolute magnitude and metallicity) of about one million stars and one hundred star clusters and star forming regions. In addition, we are able to detect new chemically over- and underabundant stars such as classical magnetic chemically peculiar (mCP), Be/Ae and lambda Bootis objects. Using the comprehensive data of the OGLE survey, we will analyze the variable star content among our survey in order to find correlations of the periods with astrophysical parameters. Another corner stone will be the extension, improvement, and transfer of WEBDA, the world-wide leading database of star clusters, to Brno.
