The project deals with textbook research regarding gender, i.e. regarding the patterns which contribute to the formation of gender identity. These patterns are a constituent of hidden curriculum. The aim of the research is to find out whether, how and in which context are roles of men and women represented in currently used foreign language textbooks and compare textbooks of English, German and Russian language with regard to gender. The research employs the method of content analysis.
