The proposed center for audiovisual education at PedF MU is aimed at a complex support of contemporary and prospective courses for near-future teachers and their work within the cross-disciplinary theme of media education with a respect to Framework Educational Programmes for primary and secondary education. To achieve this goal, the new workplace will include following technical equipment: data projection with a controlling PC workstation, a HD plasma television set with a 5.1 surround sound, an interactive whiteboard and a semi-professional digital camera with interchangeable lenses, a tripod and other accessories.

Results

Media have made an ever increasingly impact not only on the whole of society but also towards every single human being. Moreover, media are rather frequently represented in most of educational processes (both at in- and out-of-the-school education) and teachers are required to be able (in accordance with current primary and secondary education curricular reform) use them in their everyday class. The project being investigated here has only solidified the importance of media education in Faculty of Education with a respect to actual needs of prospective teachers. The principal goal of the project was to strengthen the material part of audiovisual equipment and further learning and teaching quality component development.
