The research issue follows the MUNI / A / 1286/2014 and MUNI / A / 1363/2015 research projects dealing with strength diagnostics and methodology verification. The presented project is an example of linking a scientific research with sporting practice and is consistent with the research focus of the FSpS and the Department of Kinesiology. The theoretical basis comes from extensive synthesis of knowledge on the use of manual (isometric) and isokinetic dynamometry in the field of force diagnostics in different sports, in different age categories and professions as well as on the preventive and health aspects of force in relation to lateral differences. The aim of the research is to diagnose the level of strength and lateral differences of junior athletes aged from 12 to 18 with the use of verified methodology of isometric and isokinetic dynamometry
