Classical Collections in the Moravia and Bohemia

The project represents a part of a broader research program of the Department of Classical Archeology at the National Museum as well as of other research instituts at the Charles University, at the Masaryk University and at the Academy of Sciences of CR. The aim of this project is creation of Registration and Documentation Center of Classical Collections in the Chech Republic at the Department of Classical Archeology at the National Museum. The central data base containing subject catalogue with bibliography will serve Czech and foreign specialists as well as the students. The computer data base will be cpntinuouswly extended and updated. The first planned publication of a collection of classical painted and black - glazed vases is Corpus vasorum antiquorum, Tchecoslovaquie 4 - completion of manuscript in 1998.
