The main objective of this project is to investigate the expression of FGF-2 and FGFR in peripheral blood and the level of secreted FGF-2 in blood and urine of patients with selected with selected lymphoid and myeloid leukemias as a potential monitor of cancer therapy. The results will be correlated with the stage of disease and the underwent treatment. A complementary scientific objectives are to characterize the carbohydrate composition in leukemic cells and to probe the possibility to regulate in vit
