The planned project would be devoted to forming of electronic (or also printed) version of a database, in which texts analysed/that will be analysed in the framework of the theory of FSP (functional sentence perspective) would be gathered. Such an analysis is an extremely demanding, but necessary prerequisite for interpretation; so far FSP analyses are spread around different papers and other academic sources (Firbas, Svoboda, Chamonikolasová, Adam, students). The database would serve further research purposes and also prospective students who will deal with FSP. Individual analyses would be presented in transparent, graphically unified charts.

Results

The project resulted in an electronic database available within the e-learning environment Moodle (under the headline of Database of Texts and Their FSP Analyses), in which texts analysed in the framework of the theory of FSP (functional sentence perspective) are gathered. Since such an analysis is an extremely demanding, but necessary prerequisite for interpretation, and so far FSP analyses are spread around different papers and other academic sources, the database is the first such achievement in the field. The database is to serve further research purposes of academics and also prospective students who will deal with FSP (e.g. in terms of their diploma / bachelor theses or seminars of FSP). Individual analyses would be presented in transparent, graphically unified charts.
