Description This two-edged sword, found in 1911 at the cemetery in Stěbořice, is, besides the example of approximately the same age from the Heřmanovice fortress, one of the best preserved artefacts of its kind in Czech Silesia. According to the Oakeshott classification system this is a sword of type XVIa, K, 5, predominantly occurring in the second half of the 14th century to the first half of the 15th century, when Stěbořice was administered by Cistercian monks and later the lien holders of monastery goods.
