Description The Czech Collection of Microorganisms (CCM) is a specialized section of Department of experimental biology (Faculty of Science MU) which serves as a depository for cultures of bacteria and filamentous fungi used for research, industrial applications, education and general scientific interest. CCM is certified according to EN ISO 9001:2008. The CCM provides a group of more than 190 quality control strains, which are especially intended for human and veterinary clinical laboratories, as well as for microbiological laboratories dealing with the quality control of food and water. The quality control strains are supplied freeze-dried in sealed glass ampoules (lyophilisates) or in the form of gelatine disks. Selected strains are available in the form of gelatine disks with defined amount of microorganisms (CFU/disk).
