Description | This chapter presents an investigation which was focused on pre-school teachers with the aim to find out whether they are concerned with the speech therapy prevention in their practice. Into the preventive measures within the influence of natural development of speech and language components also rank among influencing the development of pronunciation of speech sounds and prevent of deviations in development of articulation. Articulation of speech sounds has been investigated in four age categories of children before entering school, namely children three to six years, with the aim to determine what the state of their pronunciation is. Incorrect pronunciation of speech sounds is a common reason for postponement of the school attendance and consequently certain difficulties in the educational process after the initiation of school attendance. |
