| Description | The chapter focused on the possibilities of career preparation, professional rehabilitation and labor market success for people with hearing impairment. The text reflects the specifics of careers fulfilment for people with hearing impairment with emphasis on the frequent presence of communication barriers, especially in people with severe hearing impairment. It also takes into account the difficulties they faces during the job search and difficulties in the course of their work. The chapter also presents partial results of the surveys, which were implemented as part of the bachelor and master thesis of students of Special Education at the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University. This research investigations focused primarily on the opportunities at the labor market for people with hearing impairments in the Czech Republic and on the experience of employers of persons with hearing impairments too. |
