Description | The chapter focuses on the problem of cultivation of oral performance in children who are restless and suffer from the attention deficit through recitation of a literary text. The authors belief stems from the assumption that hyperactivity has also its strong points which can lead to a successful performance of these children in their future career. Recitation is shown as a creative educational process which has the potential to enrich a pupil with ADHD and to contribute to their growth in both their personal and professional future life. The author makes use of his own experience of lecturing at competitions in artistic reading as well as the results of quantitative and qualitative research carried out amongst teachers in the regions of South Moravia and Zlín. |
