| Description | One cause of Acne is the presence of Propionibacteria acnes in skin sebaceous glands. Here they stimulate local inflammation by producing fatty acids. Decrease in p. acnes colonisation can be achieved also by phototherapy – blue light. The blue light therapy is effective, safe, undesirable effects are absent, it is easily accessible and leads to a decreased use of antibiotics which importantly lowers the risk of propioni bacteria resistence development. |
