Description Older historians (O. Balzer, J. Šusta) supposed that the coronation of Wenceslas II as a Polish king in Gniezno in 1300 took place at the end of August or in September. In 1969 the Polish historian J. Bieniak made a new suggestion, only indirectly founded, that the coronation only took place in November of that year. The author of this contribution dates Wenceslas's Polish coronation according to the years of Polish rule mentioned in the documents. He concludes that is must have taken place on one of the two Sundays between August 30 and September 14 or the feast of the Virgin's birth on September 8th.
