Description | On the basis of comparative literature the author of the present study deals with several levels of the Czech and, prevalently, Slovak prose of the latest few decades, especially of the period after 1989. He analyzes the works which stand rather on the margin of the main stream and which open a new passage towards new poeticity reflecting crucial, epochal social changes. On the material of the works by Ladislav Ťažký, Ján Tužínský, Rudolf Sloboda, Vladimír Macura, Jiří Šimáček, Vlado Haratík, Tibor Ferko, Jindřich Uher, Mária Bátorová, Michal Viewegh and others he investigates the movement of contemporary literature on the boundary of fact and fiction, fiction and nonfiction as a specific manifestation of the reflection of new historicity which can be surprisingly seen even in the works of the youngest generation of writers. The movement on the margin and on the boundary of genres and the experiment with genre structures supports the conviction that such literature always appears on the cutting edge of epochs in the apprehension of future cataclysms. |
