| Description | The text provides an overview of the important events, that influenced the development of EU-Russian relations during the era of presidency of Dmitry Medvedev in 2008-2011 in the area of energy policy and energy security. The relations between the EU and Russia during the period of Dmitry Medvedev as Russian president could be characterized by a great deal of continuity with the previous era of V.V.Putin in the field of energy diplomacy. At the same time some interesting changes occured in Russian energy strategy (especially in 2010-2011), that contributed to the release of the previously tense relations between Russia and the EU. |
