Description | The chapter focuses on pre-service English language teacher education in the area of working with pupils with special learning difficulties while an approach aiming from practice to theory is applied. Context of the realized research is pedagogical practice within which students, in cooperation with their mentors, map the area of assessing pupils with special learning difficulties in specific schools. The aim of the chapter is to uncurtain whether and to what extent this approach from practice to theory supports the development of students professional competence, specifically their knowledge base in this area, furthermore the aim is to elaborate on the realized case study (2011), i.e. to extend the insight into the reality of schools in the area of assessing pupils with special learning difficulties. |
