| Description | This biographical article presents the personality and work of historian and university professor Jaroslav Vaculík. Special attention is paid to his qualification growth, scientific and publication work, teaching and organizational activities at the Department of History of the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University, where he has been working for forty years. Emphasis is put on Vaculík’s major works, including their recognition among scientific community, the most important conferences and seminars organized by the Department of History under his leadership, cooperation with domestic and foreign historical institutes and universities and numerous other activities, which include two-time chairmanship of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Education at Masaryk University, memberships in various historical societies, associations, editorial boards, etc.The text is based on archival research. |
