Description | In the process of globalization of arts and sciences, English has become the Lingua Franca of academic discourse. Scholars seeking an international audience are obliged to produce coherent and effective texts in English, observing the Anglo-American standards of academic writing. Papers in this collection address topics related to the production of English academic texts by non-native speakers of English, e.g. the interference of the stylistic standards of the native language, comparison of academic texts in native languages and in English, the typology of errors, or the strategies of teaching academic writing at different levels of education. |
